Indira Wassell: When I take a remote control apart, I see the plastic thing that the buttons are on and the plastic thing is on a circuit board. The purpose of the plastic thing is to prevent damage to the circuit board when the buttons are pressed. You need your pieces to be heavy enough to press the buttons and activate the speaker but light enough for the players to handle easily. What design do you have in mind for the board?
Hal Rouse: well this is harder than you think, but you will need to record your voice (or type it in to a computer to say it) saying the movement and load it on to a cheap shuffle style MP3, where every you hit play it plays a random movement- low tech position levers or arms or whatever under the board so when play on a square i pushes the button-high tech go to radio shack (if they still have anything but toys) and get a multi sensor relay and take the face off the shuffle and souter it to the sensor relay. where evert time you land on! a square it activates the sensore and plays the sound-some variants. use a burn a cd and modify a cd player, -if your going to use sound make it count and use sound fx with cartoon sounds or whatever-see if the game is worth the time and play it a few times with your friends using cards instead of sound-add some fun actions to the game as well as, or instead of movement, like kiss some one or tell a joke. there is a game of block tower where there are actions wrote on the blocks you have to draw...Show more
