Sammy Kar: if you're getting access to the printer on yet another computing gadget, all you may want to do is open the different computing gadget in the course of the community (click commence, Run, variety computername (computername is the different pcs community call). you should work out the shared printer there. Double-click on it or perhaps as requested about installation drivers, in basic terms click convinced, and also you're performed!

Omar Phipps: Network printers aren't supposed to be connected directly to a computer via ethernet cable. There should be a small screen and some buttons on your pr! inter. You should be able to get into a menu that allows you to change your printer settings such as the IP address.-First, hook up your computer to your router either via ethernet cable or using your wifi name and wifi key.-Once it's on the network, print out a page of the network settings.-Now change the IP of your printer manually. Everything should be the same as the network setting page you just printed out (subnet mask, gateway IP, etc) except for the printer's IP address. Change the last set of numbers to something high like 200 or so. That way your computers will never lose the printer on the network by looking for the wrong IP address.-After this is done, install the software on whatever computers you want to print from. Make sure to choose the option during setup that searches for the printer on the network and not via wifi or usb cable.-The right to print depends on your printer. Some of them can be set up to require a password to be able to print. That's totally! up to the printer model....Show more
